Quackers and Jimmie
.
By Vicki Diederiks

Little Jimmie lived on a farm and his mother had told him and his big sister, Suzie not to throw stones around the barnyard because there were a lot of little animals around. One day when nobody was around (he thought) Jimmie grabbed four stones. He threw the first stone and nothing bad happened so he threw the second. He then aimed at the tin water pail and hit it. Growing very bold he aimed at a knot, which resembled a strike zone in the door to the barn. So he concentrated real hard, aimed and (act like a pitcher) threw the stone. It looked like it was going to hit the mark when it curved a bit and here comes momma’s favorite duck, Quackers. The stone met the duck and feathers went flying. And now we have a dead duck. Jimmie wanted to die!
So he decided that he needed to act fast. He thought to himself, "What should I do? I know, I’ll bury him." So he grabbed a shovel and threw Quackers into his red wagon. He headed around the corner to a secluded spot when he ran into guess who, Suzie his big sister. She saw Quackers and noticed that there is something different about Quackers.
"What’s going on here? You are in deep trouble. I’m gonna tell on you."
"No, please I’ll do anything!" said Jimmie.
"Anything?" she said. "Anything? Unless you pull me around in this wagon as much as I want, I’m going to tell."
"Uh, uh, ok just don’t tell.", said Jimmie.
So all day Jimmie pulls Suzie around in the wagon. For two whole weeks, day after day, he pulled Suzie around in his wagon. After all this he couldn’t take it anymore and he says, "Suzie, I’m not pulling you around anymore!"
"Fine I’m telling.", said Suzie.
"You don’t have to tell, I’ll tell myself!" said Jimmie.
So he ran up to his mother and began to cry and say, "Mom, I threw a stone and accidentally killed Quackers and I’m sorry! Mommy please forgive me."
"Jimmie, I know." said Mother.
" What do you mean you know?" asked Jimmie.
"Jimmie, I saw the whole thing. I was just waiting for you to come to me and tell me.", said Mother.
They hug each other and it’s all over.
How does Billy feel now?
He started down the steps now in his new found freedom and here Suzie is waiting for him.
"Jimmie, pull me around in this wagon."
"No! I don’t have to pull you around anymore. I told mom everything and I don’t have to pull you around anymore!", said Jimmie

Proverbs 28:13 "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."

Do you too have any secret sins in your life that you would like to give to the Lord? He is just waiting for you to say yes Lord, please forgive me.

1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
