Tabernacle during 1988-89. He is presently president of the Southern
New England Conference. His wife Sally was not able to join him today.

Offering next Sabbath—Church Budget
                                  
Our monthly church budget amount needed is $25,484 and
we received about $4,943 last Sabbath.
 
 
COMING EVENTS
OLD TESTAMENT SANCTUARYmodel (half scale) will be available
for tours at the Charlotte SDA Church September 9-12. The details are
posted on the bulletin board in the lower foyer, or call Joe Whitaker at
517-543-5491.
 
LIVING HISTORY TOUR at the Oak Hill Cemetery is Sunday, September
12, at 2:00 p.m. See details posted on bulletin board or in your September
newsletter.
 
HEALTH EXPO, organized by the Urbandale SDA Church, will also be on
Sunday, September 12, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Battle Creek Academy. 
The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive there also from 10:15 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. See the poster on the bulletin board for details.
 
MEN’S MINISTRY is planning a fellowship hike for men of all ages Sabbath,
September 18, 2:30 p.m. at the Ott Biological Preserve located at the end
of Arlington Avenue, off from E. Michigan Avenue, across from the Pine Knoll
Apartments. Call Brian Metcalf if you have questions.
 
62nd annual YMCO (married couples retreat) weekend is October 28-31. 
Registration forms are on the credenza in the foyer.

Our sympathies go to Ruth Burns and her family with the death of her
husband September 4. His memorial service will be Sunday, September 19
at the Royal Funeral Home.
